The Cimarron Council has many exciting opportunities for Scouts to "put the outing in Scouting!"
Camping Facilities
The Cimarron Council operates three camp properties to help deliver the promise of Scouting to the youth of the Cimarron Council. Cimarron Council welcomes all Scout groups from any Council to use our facilities. Outside organizations are also encouraged to contact us about renting our facilities & equipment.

Camp Reservations:
Reservations for campsites and other use of Cimarron Council camp facilities must be made at least two weeks in advance through the council service center. Forms for reservations at any of the Cimarron Council camp properties are available from the Cimarron Council service center.

Special Opportunities
These are the special opportunities for Scouts in the Cimarron Council for hiking and camping.
Ouachita Trek
Since 1979, The Ouachita Trek has provided Scouts in the Cimarron Council a 3 day Philmont like backpacking experience that takes place annually during Spring Break week.
The Ouachita National Recreation Trail stretches 223 miles through the scenic Ouachita Mountains of Central Arkansas and Southeaster Oklahoma. The "Ouachita Trail" runs from Talimena State Park in Oklahoma and ends at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, near Little Rock, Arkansas.

National Jamboree
The National Scout jamboree is a gathering, or jamboree of thousands of members of the BSA, usually held every four years and organized by the the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts from all over the nation and world have the opportunity to attend the jamboree, held at the Bechtel Summit in West Virginia.

High Adventure
The Boy Scouts of America maintains four high adventure bases for Scouts.
Florida Sea Base
Make a splash! Head to the Florida Keys and dive into an amazing Florida Sea Base adventure and wade into more excitement than you ever though possible. Snorkeling, SCUBA, boating, and beach camping are among the many possibilities.

Northern Tier
Don't miss the boat! One of the most beautiful, and remote parts of North America offers a unique opportunity for Scouts. Canoeing, hiking, fishing, and winter camping in and around the beautiful lakes of northern Minnesota and southern Canada await you at the Northern Tier.

Philmont Scout Ranch
Take a hike! The mountains of New Mexico offer the adventure that you have always dreamed about. Backpacking, rock climbing, western lore, living history, and the views from peaks over 10,000 feet tall will make memories that last a lifetime.

Summit Bechtel Reserve
It's a 10,600 acre adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in the Boy Scouts of America located in in southern West Virginia and bordering the New River Gorge National River Area. And anyone who loves the outdoors. And home to the National Scout Jamboree. Whitewater, climbing, mountain biking, target sports, zip lines, challenge courses, hiking, & more await.

World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree is a Scouting jamboree of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, typically attended by several tens of thousands of Scouts from around the world. The first World Scout Jamboree was organized by The Boy Scout Association in London and has been organized approximately every four years by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), in different locations over the world.
