When a Commissioner visits a unit, they
look for those elements that a quality program is bring provided. A Unit
Commissioner uses these forms after they visit, not as they are visiting.
These are not a unit inspections, but a unit evaluation to help unit leaders
make their programs better.
As a Unit Commissioner, it
is your duty to present a good example. Proper uniforming is essential to
presenting consistently delivering the mission of a Unit Commissioner.

Applications for Membership
You never know when a leader will ask if
you have an application form. The program-specific youth
application forms have been discontinued in favor of a single version for
all BSA programs.
If you are new to the ranks of being a Commissioner, the first place
you'll want to visit on the web is the Official BSA Commissioners website. When you visit, make sure to click on the
"Other Commissioner Resources" link on the left. You'll find a lot of
downloadable forms that you'll need.
The Commissioner is a quarterly newsletter
for Commissioners at all levels from Unit Commissioners through Council
Commissioners. The newsletters are in PDF format for easy download and
viewing.
