Boy Scout Camp Registration Form
Cimarron Council Boy Scout
Resident Camp
All Troops across
Oklahoma & America are welcome to our Camp!
Tired of just being a number at a mega camp that over
crowds scouts each week without providing the cheerful
service of individualized attention, great programs, and
a truly memorable camp experience? Consider Will
Rogers Scout Reservation, a camp that has been in
operation since 1939, offering 30 Merit Badges, over a
dozen special awards & badges. We serve real "home
cooking" and plenty of delicious "made from scratch"
meals, and then serve them family style, at your dining
hall table, not with your troop waiting in the chow line
for half an hour.
Our Eagle Quest First Year Camper Program is led by our
Council Vice President of Program, a Top Gun Fighter
Pilot, many of our Eagle Quest staff
have earned the Eagle Award. We are one
of the FEW camps in the nation to have National
Camp School Certified Directors overseeing each department of camp
including Scoutcraft / Outdoor Skills and Nature
Ecology.
Our camp is growing, expanding, and getting better every
year. The Anderson Family Shower House was
dedicated in the summer of 2006 as was a major
renovation of the camp Trading Post. More projects
are planned in 2010.
Be a part of a Summer Camp experience you just can't get
anywhere else, come to Will Rogers Scout Reservation
Summer Camp, as that famous Oklahoman, Will
Rogers himself said so many years ago..."The
Only problem with the Boy Scouts is there aren't enough
of them." and
WE AGREE!

SCHEDULE:
A different approach to scheduling is being
implemented this year at WRSR. A more youth oriented and flexible
open approach to scheduling will allow scouts, along with adult
leaders, to customize the individual learning experience and take
into account learning curves of each scout. There are three sessions
each day: 9:00 – 10:30, 10:30 – 12:00 and 2:00 – 4:00 and scouts may
move between sessions as needed. This open approach to scheduling
will allow scouts to either complete merit badges or complete only
those requirements that they need for completion. A number of non
merit badge activities will also be included in the learning
experiences.
What this means for the boys is
more flexibility to attend the classes of their choosing. They will
be free to come and go to any class at any time. If they only need 1
requirement to complete a merit badge they only need to stay in that
class until that requirement is complete. They do not need to stay
the entire session. They will not be locked in to a class if they
arrive and find it to be uninteresting.
They simply leave and go to
another class they are interested in. There is no official advanced
signup for classes. This will be explained in greater detail at the
Sunday Scoutmaster's Meeting.
